She founded Thoughts Become Things May 2021 after realizing that her community was underserved when it came to training and coaching on helping individuals get out of survival mode. With a background in Film Studies she has used her platform to create impactful content teaching about resources in the community to help with mindfulness and of course her favorite " the power behind affirmations". Kristal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received her bachelor’s and master’s in social work from Wayne State University in which her focus areas are in cognitive- behavioral therapy and family systems. Kristal offers a strengths-based and holistic approach to person-centered therapy. She specializes in women issues, WOC issues, emotion and mood regulation, work-life imbalance/conflict, anxiety/panic, depression, grief/loss, trauma, identity issues, sexuality issues, stress, and life transitions.
